Barrett is one of the pioneers of redfishing on saltwater marsh flats.

For 30 years Barrett has participated in all aspects of fly fishing in the Mississippi River delta marshes. Barrett owned and operated the original fly fishing shop in New Orleans and is familiar with all major brands of equipment and knowledge.

He ties incredible flies that catch fish

Barrett is an accomplished fly tier. He ties variations of crab, shrimp and his well known "Spoon Fly".

PRICE:

  • One or two people is $575 for full day. Full day returns to Uptown Angler after 5pm.
  • One or two people is $450 for half day. Half day returns to Uptown Angler at 2pm.
  • The pricing above includes transportation from Uptown Angler in downtown New Orleans to the boat launch and return to Uptown Angler.
  • A 50% deposit is required to reserve dates.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • Deposit will be returned if cancellation is made 30 days or more before scheduled trip.
  • Uptown Angler may cancel with a full refund of the deposit for weather

I would like to think you for setting up on a fly fishing charter with a very Personable guide named Barrett Brown. Our charter date was on 12/07/09 and it was raining off and on all day the water was up and very ,very hard to see and reds.

But the experience Barrett has surpassed anything mother nature could throw at us and ended up with what i would call a very,very successful first fly fishing trip.
